Bundi, India

Bundi, a town in Rajasthan was a “must visit” spoken by many other tourists traveling in India.  During 4-5 days in early January 2009, we made the Manglam paying guest house our home.

Hearing that there was a fort and a waterfall in Bundi, we had to visit it.
After a 12 hour overnight sleeper bus ride from Jodhpur.  We made it and checked into Manglam at 6am, with waking up the father of the house, and paying 300 rupees (approx. 6$) a night.

I highly recommend visiting Bundi!

If you go to Bundi, ask around for Romeo as he should be the king of Bundi soon enough, offereing tours to the waterfall, around town and offer good prices on train or bus tickets.  Tell him I said hi.

In other news:
Laziness couldnt get the best of me and I went out last night to the “5″ party last night in Roppongi.  www.5tokyo.com I met people from Cartier, Bloomberg and met some good dj’s Alex and Emanuel.   Also met Stuarts friend Arisa whom just loved my jokes about Akon.

Sakura is in full force and Im heading to yoyogi park to view some cherry blossoms today.
My bike is very tiring, but its gonna get me solid leg muscles.
Loving my new GIO stereo purchased for 4980yen at the don-qihote near my place.

Peace

  1. Hello,
I am trying to locate via the internet the Mangalam guest house you recommend in Bundi for a stay in early FEB.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

  2. Hey Katie,

I was not able to find them on the net either. I think if you head there in FEB, just show up or call from within India a day before for booking. Good luck

  3. thank you!

  4. There are few other Hotels and good restaurants in Bundi- Rajasthan which are NOT available on line but you can find access personally. Also, nearby city call Kota say half an hour journey and again many Hotels and restaurants. India is developing and so Bundi. Exploring Rajasthan is fun, experience and understanding of ancient history… Surendra Goswami
