Learn Japanese Hints & Tips

The folks over at JapanProbe have gathered a lot of information and study tools for Japanese and they write about it here.

I personally use Rikaichan, and the Kanzen master series books and Jim Breen’s WWWJDIC.

I hope you can make use of some of the resources if you are studying.

The Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) is in december each year.  Application period this year runs from August 1st- September 12th, 2008.  Applications cost 500yen and are available at Kinokuniya and other bookstores.
Good Luck.

  1. Are you gonna take the JLPT? Which level?

Have you ever tried kanji software for Nintendo DS? Like 「正しい漢字かきとりくん」?

  2. Tokyo5,
I took level 2 last year and failed by 6 points! I have tried some software for the DS, but if you want to pass the test then I would only study the tested subject material – which is not covered in the DS games as they are more general.
